Hello everyone! Today I’m so excited to talk about the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette! I got it as a gift from my boyfriend for my birthday this year, and I’ve been dying to play around with it. I’ve only done a few looks with it so far, so this won’t be a full review. It’s more of a first impressions post, and my first impression is love! Haha.

I’ve done a few looks with this palette already just to test it out, and I’ve been really impressed with the pigmentation and creaminess of the shadows. Who doesn’t love electric colors for summer?! I love the double-ended brush that came with the palette, and I think it accompanies the shadows really well. There are four shadows, which of course are the ones I’m most drawn to, that are not intended for use on the inner eye area: Slowburn, Savage, Jilted and Urban. I’ll play around with those a little bit to see if they irritate my eyes or not, and I’ll let you guys know.
While I never thought I’d use a bright, electric pink, yellow or orange shadow, I’m really impressed with all the shadows in this palette. I plan to figure out different looks to utilize each shadow, and I’ve found they work great even just to add a pop of color to an otherwise neutral look. I think this is a perfect palette for summer with all the bright colors! You get quite a bit of product for each shadow, so I think it’s a really good deal.
I also really like the packaging, which is pretty much always the case with Urban Decay. The outside feels like plastic, but it doesn’t feel cheap to me. Instead of snapping shut, it has like a magnetic closure on it, which makes it really easy to open and shut. I think it’s a good size as well, not too small but also not humongous. I just really like everything about this, and I can’t wait to figure out some awesome looks with it! If you want to see some tutorials using this palette, just let me know!
